Colin joined the world of taxation back in 1989. Apart from a short stint in commerce working in the Oil and Gas industry Colin has worked in Practice.
Starting out at a firm called Rawlinson & Hunter, he then worked at a number of top ten firms and joined Fuller Spurling in May 2015.
Colin currently works with and acts as adviser to a wide spectrum of individuals including sole traders, property owners, high net worth individuals and non-domiciled individuals resident in the UK. Colin gains as much pleasure from advising and helping clients with modest requirements as he does from those with more complex affairs who require more time and advice.
He enjoys meeting his clients and getting to know and understand their changing needs and expectations, and although meetings are considered very useful in achieving this Colin is happy to correspond by electronic means if this suits his clients better.
Colin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation as well as the Association of Taxation Technicians, and is on the joint professional standards committee of the two bodies. He is also a member of the VAT Practitioners’ Group.
Outside of work Colin coaches at a local triathlon club and enjoys road cycling as well as trail and fell racing. He enjoys watching Rugby and is a part-time supporter of Northampton Saints.
