We wanted to get in touch with a reminder that the tax return deadline is October 31st for filing by paper.
But don’t worry, if you do miss the deadline, you can return it online instead to avoid a penalty – however, please do get in touch with any queries as we’re here to help!
It’s important we keep you abreast of key tax dates throughout the year as part of our ongoing commitment, so please do check out a brief summary we’ve provided below:
- For tax returns relating to the year April 6th 2018 to April 5th 2019, for example, all paper returns should be submitted by October 31st, 2019.
- For online filing deadline, remember the deadline is January 31st 2020 to file for the year April 6th 2018 to April 5th 2019.
- HMRC will send you a notice to file a tax return if you normally file on paper, reminding you that you need to submit.
- If you are preparing to file a paper return but haven’t been sent one, you can download a copy or contact HMRC for assistance.
We know it’s often said, but we’d also like to advise leaving suitable time in case you may need extra forms or assistance in completing certain sections – it always helps in relieving any last minute pressure!
Would you like help and advice on this or any other issue?
